Players also craft armor to defend against a host of insects, arachnids, and more, both hostile and friendly. Players must gather resources, craft tools, and build bases while searching for food and water to stay alive. In the dangerous landscape, players work to progress through story-based quests and explore the farthest reaches of the backyard, its aggressive creatures, and its unique biomes. The player must survive in the micro-world of a suburban backyard alone or with up to 3 additional players.
In Grounded, the player character (Max, Willow, Pete, or Hoops) has been mysteriously shrunk to the size of an ant.
